Bojan,I am writing to you about a project that we have discussed at Sindicatul 9 international meeting about SFF magazines: a SFF short stories anthology in English language, with authors from the Eastern European countries.Here is our proposal for the anthology:the anthology will be edited one time each year, in English language.it will consist of SFF short stories from Eastern European countries, meaning (in no particular order) from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, countries from former Yugoslavia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldavia, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Austria and Albania. The concept of "Eastern Europe" is used in a loose way.each year another country will take turn on being the editor of the anthology. The editor must get the short stories from the other countries, make the anthology cover and the pagination, in PDF file that can must be print ready (ready to be printed in a paper edition of the book).each country representative is responsible for promoting the project to the SFF authors in its country and select the short story that will be present in the anthologythe short story must be presented to the editor, in final format, in English languageAlong with the story must be present a literary CV of the author and a bust photo, minimum 1500 Px in height, the translators name and a proposal for a title for that year anthology.The final title will be voted by the countries representativeseach year the editor must provide a theme for that year's edition, the deadline for the submission and the deadline for the anthologythe PDF will be available for freeeach edition will be promoted by the representatives and authors, if they participate at various SFF national and international conventions and through contacts they have in the SFF worldFor the 2021 edition, the editor will be the Romanian Team, and I am it's representative.The theme is as follows:the year is 2020-2030 (you can select a year in that period)in an Eastern Europe country, a case of a new viral hemorrhagic fever appears (here is an article about this kind of disease https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viral_hemorrhagic_fever)the disease spreads like wildfire and a lot of people are starting to diesoon the disease is spreading, but interesting, only in Eastern European countries.these countries are strictly quarantined by the rest of the worldthe story is located in the country of the authorDeadline for the short story submission: 14th April 2021Deadline for the anthology: 1st July 2021, to be presented at the Eurocon in FiugiYou are invited to be the representative of your country, in the 2021 anthology.
